Though I'd love to be painting the kitchen, we tackled the entry and the downstairs bath over the weekend. I chose a color by Behr called "Nurture", a hint of blue-green that goes nicely with the slate colored tiles in the entry and green tiles in the bathroom.
Look at this ugly counter. This is in the master bath. I love the very long vanity but the countertop is less than attractive. So it, too, is being painted. While we would glaldy cough up the money for a new countertop, it's not going to happen without gutting out the vanity. We've been there and done that before and aren't quite ready to do it again. So for now, we turn to Rustoleums countertop paint for help.
(I used Frogtape for this particular endeavor. It's supposed to stop the bleeding of paint under the tape and I sure hope it does!)
This countertop paint has some serious fumes so get the fan going...
But I can show you the end result of the entry way. So much brighter and welcoming. Oh, and look, curtain rods in the corner! Getting cozier all the time round here!
Lots more painting projects are on the horizon. We have the paint for our bedroom, the kids hallway (a sweet deal on a can of OOPS paint at Home Depot), the family room (leftover can from the living room at the old house) and, of course, the kitchen. I'm hoping the bathroom counter comes out fabulous and gives me the courage to paint our bed.
I'll let you know how it goes.

It looks AWESOME!! I love the paint choice for the entry way & downstairs bathroom! I think the bathroom vanity is going to look great too!!
Let us know how the frog tape works! I'd love something that prevents paint bleed!
Congrats on your new place steph! I love the colors you chose and think it will all look wonderful!
